We have been receiving calls from Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society from the last one week. As this is summer and also exams time, the count of blood camps is getting low and they are in shortage of around 600 units of blood. Some of the kids’ situation is serious due to lack of blood in their body. If anyone is interested to donate you can donate directly in the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society in Afzalgunj. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Thalassemia is an inherited disorder of the blood. It reduces the amount of hemoglobin (red blood cell) your body can make and also reduces the supply of oxygen in the body. This will cause anemia and if not treated, the heart and other organs in the body will slowly fail due to the lack of oxygen. They need 1unit of blood transfusion for every 3weeks or 1month.

Republic day Celebrations @Kukatpally Zphs

We  Organized  a sports event in Kukatpally Government School on the occasion of Republic day. We have conducted sports like Running race, Drawing, Kabaddi and also conducted Elocution,Essay Writing and Quiz to know up to which extent the student's knowledge is. The winning kids are awarded with  prizes like a Telugu to English conversion dictionaries. Also we have selected 2 students from Essay writing competition whose family background is very poor and their parents wanted the 2 girls to get married. We are in a plan of sponsoring those two students for their further education.

 

Visit to Ashray-Akruti

We Started our New Year with an event by visiting Ashray -Akruti organization which is  a Voluntary organization working for Hearing Impaired. Kids in this home are deaf and dumb. They are challenged kids with great talent. Each kid in this home is talented in some or the other activities like Dance, Crafts, Drawing etc. We are surprised that these kids also play musical chairs as normal people. We respond to the music by hearing but they play musical chairs by responding to the drum beat vibrations.We are so glad to share with you that we have sponsored a Hearing aid For a kid called Shristi.

Food Packet Distribution for Disables on Christmas day

Distributed food packets for the disabled on Christmas day. We have prepared the food at home itself not to make the food spicy. We felt very happy seeing the happiness on their faces while having the food. Some of the disabled also had tears in their eyes while eating.And a few of them blesses us. We(Aathmiya Foundation) suggest you to distribute food for the road side people whenever you have some free time. We also told many of friends to do the same and got a good response from them.

Visit to Shraddha home

We have celebrated Diwali with Shraddha home for differently abled and Orphans. Kids in this home are from different regions . They are Multi talented and super active kids,we are so happy to have such a wonderful day with those kids. This home was started by a Spinal Injured women, Ms. Sujatha with an aim to help differently-abled children in counseling them to grow like normal people and be self dependent.  Sujatha herself being differently-abled, because of a car accident in the year of 2001 which made the young business person a parapleged, she has been giving inspirational speeches to people with various disabilities and to mentally depressed. She has become a truly inspirational person for so many and has won several awards.

Visit to Aman Vedika

Aman Vedika is an orphanage home cum school. It is being runned by the government. Kids found beside the roads and railway platforms are given shelter and taken care by Aman Vedika. They not only provide shelter to these kids but also provide education for those kids and are helping them to succeed in their life .

Visit to Valmiki Home

Visited Valmiki home in bowenpally. Had a great time with kids and  arranged lunch for them. Our interaction with those kids was fun and exciting as always.

Food packet distribution on Dec31st night@slums

Celebrated our new year by distributing food packets for the people in street and slums. We  began our new year with a great feeling that touched our hearts when we saw the happiness in those people's faces receiving  food packets .It is really a great feeling and we wish u all to have that experience at-least once in your life.

Visit to Alambana School

We have organised a sports event and arranged lunch in Alambana School which is established with a great desire of providing education for kids in slums. The staff and the volunteers of the school visit the slums and educate the kids parents about the importance of the studies and make the parents send their kids to school.We had a very great time with those kids and the kids too enjoyed a lot with the games.

Christmas day celebrations

We have celebrated Christmas day in slums and in Orphanage home by distributing chocolates and gifts. We really had  great time with those kids. They were so happy to see one of our member dressed up as Santa Claus. The event was organized in the night after 10pm. And all the boys in our foundation did not allow any of the girls to attend the event at that time. :-(

MISSION COLD

Have u ever felt bad when u see a women holding a Baby in her

 arms without Clothes..Everyday we see people on roads at many 

areas dying with Hunger and Sleep tightly holding there stomach

 in this winter cold..we feel bad for a second and think let's do

 something about it...Yes let's get our thoughts implemented by 

"MISSION COLD"..Mission cold event the main aim of this event is distributing blankets for street people. We really got a great 
support from remaining NGO's and we really thank all the members who involved in the event and made this event success.

Vist to Sadhana Institute for Mentally Challenged kids

Visited Sadhana Institute for mentally challenged kids on 9th Oct, 2012 to celebrate Diwali. We had a great time with the kids over there. We couldn't believe that they are mentally challenged kids. They didn't seem to be like that. They are highly talented kids and also there was a girl speaking English very fluently and she is controlling all the remaining kids and guiding them how to behave with visitors . We feel that there are so many things that we should learn from them - the way they help each other and share their belongings.

Trip to zoo with Navya orphanage home kids

We had a trip to zoo with the kids of Navya orphanage. The trip was rocking. As always we had a great time with those kids in zoo. Even our we didn't know the names of few animals but the kids were too good in identifying them. Kids really enjoyed a lot and felt happy. They were completely tired out by the end of the day.

Voluntary blood camp for Thalassemia effected kids

Voluntarily organized a blood camp for Thalassemia effected kids on 3rd august in Bhadurpally (near Kompally). The camp was successful by 55donars who voluntary came and donated blood .We would like to thank all the 55 donars who made the camp successful.
